Exploring music Education
In this course, I learned about lifelong music education: what music education might look like at all stages of life. From early childhood education to senior living programs, music education can occur for all ages. In this course, I explored my own teaching philosophies and learned education techniques.
The purpose of this assignment was to write a lesson plan that explores an “experience, then name” framework. My lesson was about reading musical symbols, by executing musical ideas like fluctuating tempo and dynamics. After naming colloquialy what we were doing using guided questions, we introduced music symbols, and then their proper terms.
