From Orff group classes to the Bob Cole Conservatory Symphonic Band, Michelle has been a musician for almost two decades. At age five her parents enrolled her in music classes, and since then she has sought out musical opportunities at every stage of life. She has been seriously studying flute since she was 12, and before that focused on piano.
Education and leadership have played almost as large a role in Michelle’s life as music. At age eight, she decided to spend her lunch times helping out in the first-grade classrooms at her elementary school. In her free time in high school, she would visit local middle schools to work with music students after school.
In her professional life, Michelle has over 100 hours of experience coaching the Marching Band and Concert Band. She has taught private flute and piano lessons at the Little School of Music in Santa Clarita and worked at the front desk there as well.
She is currently completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumental Music Education from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State Long Beach and is working toward earning her Single Subject Credential for teaching music.
